Academy Programs

These programs are structured so players can develop using the Football NSW Coaching method of teaching technique as well as play with their club team during the season. The Academy programs are usually held during the off-season.

The Southern Academy (Shellharbour) is based at Myinabaa Oval.

Southern Academy training times will be 5.30pm to 7.00pm in 2012 beginning Monday 30th January

Pre-Academy Program

This is for players born in both 2004 & 2005. This program is aimed at developing gross motor skills, including running techniques, spatial awareness, basic body movement and key essential basic soccer skills. There is a big focus on Fun games that will challenge not only there movement skills but also their thinking skills. These sessions will be developing the skills neccessary for the trials for the Junior Development Academy

Junior Development Academy (JDP) U9 to U12

A special initiative developed by Football NSW for players born in 2000 to 2003 in the Illawarra. 

Senior Development Academy (Post-season Program) U13, U14

This is for players born in both 1998 & 1999.

Due to the demand for quality coaching within Illawarra area, the Illawarra Academies are now offering Post Season Intensive Program for interested players. This program is available to all interested players that are within the age category.

This Program will be staffed by a number of the head coaches and their assistants.
